Varstaff is looking for a Structural Engineer
Job Description
As a contract Engineer, you will support the rapid design, engineering, and fielding of temporary and modular structures. Working closely with project stakeholders, you will gather requirements and quickly iterate on designs to deliver fabrication-ready packages, ensuring all site and safety compliance standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage stakeholders to gather and clarify structural and functional requirements.
  • Translate requirements into vendor-ready design packages suitable for fabrication and construction.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and site conditions.
  • Coordinate with vendors during fabrication to resolve RFIs and design clarifications.
  • Incorporate engineering changes and design revisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Maintain revision-controlled drawing sets and document key design decisions.
  • Support design reviews and resolve technical questions in the field.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of structural, civil, or mechanical engineering experience.
  • Experience producing fabrication-ready design packages for external vendors.
  • Proficiency in relevant CAD or design tools.
  • Ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.
