As a Structural/Construction Engineer (Quebec and Ontario), you will:

  • Preparing design plans, analyses, calculations, etc., in accordance with codes and standards in the areas of structural optimization, formwork, temporary structures, cranes, etc.

  • Preparing preliminary designs and cost estimates to assist the pre-construction department with bid proposals.

  • Developing creative construction methodologies to help win and execute projects.

  • Providing operational support by organizing planning and kick-off meetings, inspecting work on site, transferring engineering and logistics bid information to the project team, and effectively assessing project progress and ensuring safety.

  • Taking ownership of ongoing projects and supporting teams to minimize risks on current and future projects, learn from past experiences, and implement best practices.

  • Act as a resource person to resolve technical issues.

Is this role right for you?

  • The education and industry experience requirementsare:a degree in civil or structural engineering and 4 to 10 years of industry experience.

  • You must be a professional engineer and authorized to work in Quebec and Ontario or other jurisdictions in Canada.

  • Fluency in Frenchand English.

  • Member of the Ordre desingenieursdu Quebec (OIQ) andProfessional Engineers Ontario (PEO)in Ontario.

  • Experience in engineering/structural design and analysis.

  • Knowledge of basic construction site safety regulations in Quebec and Ontario.

  • Knowledge of the design of temporary structures for the institutional, commercial, industrial, and civil construction sectors.

  • Experience in the structural analysis of steel, wood, aluminum, or concrete.

  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple and competing priorities.

  • A collaborative team player who is enthusiastic about tackling the industry's most complex challenges and finding the most innovative solutions.

  • The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000
