Job Description Junior Structural Engineer - Chicago, IL A growing structural engineering firm in Chicago is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join their dynamic office team. This is a full-time, in-office role (Monday-Friday). The firm works on a wide range of low-rise commercial, residential, institutional, and healthcare projects and offers a discretionary performance-based bonus.

Discretionary bonus program to reward exceptional performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering (Master's preferred). 2+ years of experience in structural design and detailing for low-rise commercial, residential, institutional, or healthcare facilities.

Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit Structure is a plus. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as RAM, TEDDS, RISA, ADAPT, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. PE or EIT license is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities: Perform structural engineering design across materials including concrete, steel, masonry, and wood.

Design slabs, floors, columns, walls, foundations, and other structural elements. Conduct lateral analysis and design for building stability. Collaborate with CAD and BIM teams to produce accurate construction documents.

Coordinate drawings and specifications with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines. Review and respond to RFIs and shop drawings. Perform site observations and inspections as required.

Attend project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented engineer with 2+ years of experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working on technically challenging projects.
