Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Dewatering Sales Product Specialist will be responsible for leading the overall revenue of Rain for Rent’s Dewatering products and services in the designated region. The Dewatering Sales Product Specialist will work together with stakeholders to understand market trends, competition and develop new market growth strategies as it relates to dewatering projects in the mining, construction and industrial sectors.

This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her manager.

• Achieve annual sales targets within the region.
• Establishing new and maintaining strong and professional customer client relations; project management of major projects.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement dewatering applications to suit the customer’s needs.
• Create successful sales and marketing approaches to address needs of each branch within the assigned territory or region

• Proactively work to find, bid, and win new market opportunities within dewatering and water treatment markets.

Understanding of filtration principles, including particle removal, filter media selection (bag, cartridge, settling, sand/carbon, etc.) and system design.

• Strong understanding of job-related regulatory guidelines in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate regularly with Inside Sales teams to generate sales reports, proposals, and quotes.
• Regular consultation with various internal departments and personnel including Engineering/Instrumentation/Contracts to design a scope, solution, and job
specifics for contracts.
• Updates job knowledge by taking part in educational opportunities; trade shows, professional publications and maintain personal networks.
• Make professional presentations, negotiate deals, and obtain signed contracts for
dewatering projects.
• Working with RVP's, RSM's, Branch Managers and sales team through the sales process of any dewatering project. This may include ride along with sales reps,
job walks with customers and any other task associated with the dewatering projects.
• Achieve assigned sales quota, revenue, and gross margin objectives.
• Accurate and prompt entry of all sales activities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Increase market share among end-user customers in assigned territory.
• Acts in accordance with Rain for Rent’s Safety culture and consistently demonstrates adherence to all safety policies and practices.
• Perform all other duties as assigned in support of the operation. 

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in mechanical, civil engineering, hydrology, construction management, or related is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of Sales Experience in dewatering is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of project management experience is highly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and negotiating skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects across different market sectors and
geographic regions simultaneously.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and
employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. At RfR, in-person work at our offices and/or branch location is a top priority because it
allows us to more effectively collaborate, connect, and builds a workplace culture that drives our continued success. This role requires onsite presence at a RfR office and/or branch location. Except for limited circumstances, remote and/or hybrid options are not offered at this time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can infrequently be loud.
