School Summary
Minnesota Connections Academy (MNCA) is a tuition-free, online public charter school for students in grades K-12 throughout Minnesota. MNCA is a member of the Minnesota Transitions Charter School (MTCS), a K-12 academic community. MNCA is a state-approved online program operated through a contract with Connections Academy of Minnesota, LLC, to provide the educational program and other services. MNCA is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, an accrediting division of AdvancED.
Position Summary
This hybrid role (two in-office days and three remote) oversees daily facility operations for the St. Paul, MN office, supervises administrative and temporary staff, coordinates staff events, and provides high-level administrative support across multiple departments. The Executive Assistant works closely with the Office Manager to oversee front office operations, ensure compliance and operational efficiency, and foster a collaborative, service-focused environment that promotes professional growth and organizational success.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversees daily building operations and facility management for the St. Paul office,serving as the primary liaison for office-related inquiries, including vendor communication, maintenance requests, building access, and supply management.
  • Ensures the office environment is organized, functional, and well-maintained
  • Supervises a team of 4-6 Administrative Assistants, including conducting regular one-on-one meetings, supporting professional development, and managing time (ex. Approving timecards and paid-time off requests)
  • Supervises temporary staff during peak operational periods, including conducting regular one-on-one meetings, supporting professional development, and managing time (ex. approving timecards and paid-time off requests)
  • Provides training and ongoing support for new staff members
  • Collaborates with the Office Manager to support staff development and team training initiatives that strengthen employee knowledge, support professional growth, and promote operational effectiveness

  • Provides administrative support during peak operational periods, including withdrawals, state reporting, student records, enrollment, attendance, truancy, and reception coverage
  • Supports state reporting compliance efforts by assisting with data entry and data reconciliation between Pearson Online Classroom and Qmlativ
  • Assists the leadership team with special projects and initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 3-4 years of similar administrative experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
