Job description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Quality Analyst to join a remote quality assurance team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical record reviews by validating coding rejections, identifying records requiring second-level review, and helping reduce operational backlogs.

The ideal candidate has experience reviewing medical records, performing quality assurance in a production environment, and maintaining a high level of accuracy while meeting daily productivity goals.

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Duration: Minimum 1-year temp/contract role

Pay Rate: $20.38/hr.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality reviews of medical records using established guidelines and quality standards.

  • Validate coding rejections by comparing documentation against required criteria.

  • Identify medical records that require second-level clinical review.

  • Meet daily productivity and quality performance expectations.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

  • Apply quality assurance best practices consistently while staying current on policies and workflow updates.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications and multiple Windows-based systems to complete daily work efficiently.

  • Learn and navigate new software applications and internal systems as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred)

  • Minimum 1 year of quality assurance experience

  • Experience reviewing various types of medical records

  • Experience working in a production-driven environment

  • Experience working remotely or in a virtual environment

  • Minimum 2 years of experience using Windows-based computer applications and Microsoft Office products

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to learn multiple work types and adapt to changing processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Experience supporting medical record quality review or coding validation

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high accuracy

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills in a remote work environment
