I. Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Compensation supports WM's compensation philosophy and strategy by communicating and administering programs and policies that attract and retain top talent. Through partnerships with Human Resources, Management and HR Technology, leverages analytical and presentation skills to execute solutions to compensation-related challenges.

This is a remote work from home opportunity.  
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Support the design and administration of comprehensive compensation programs including job architecture, market benchmarking & annual base pay and bonus planning processes.
  • Consult with Human Resources Business Partners, Directors, and Managers about compensation programs, policy, practices, and compensation related activities such as strategic new hire offers, promotions, pay positioning adjustments, etc.
  • Provides training, guidance, and support on compensation processes, tools, and philosophy to the Compensation team and business partners, and acts as a Subject Matter Expert on compensation policies.
  • Partner with Human Resources Technology to ensure the HCM system supports current compensation programs, assist with report generation to support business needs, and consult on system enhancements to improve Total Rewards/Compensation processes and administration.Assists with survey participation. Analyze salary survey results and recommend any adjustments to compensation plan.
  • Conduct market pricing activities including job matching, data analytics, benchmarking, and job pricing, including analysis of broad-based cash incentive compensation practices using third-party salary survey data management automation system.
  • Assist in the evaluation of jobs and the appropriate application of existing job classifications to individual employees (e.g., FLSA compliance, internal/external equity, job description reviews and maintenance).
  • Assist in annual and periodic review of market competitiveness of WM pay structure and placement of jobs within the structure (banding/grading).
  • Prepares presentations to summarize findings from compensation analyses, offering insights and recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date on current compensation-related legislation to ensure compliance with applicable employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay.
  • Reviews and analyzes compensation trends and competitive practices in relevant labor markets. Performs ad hoc analysis upon request. Create presentations of data findings and recommendations to clients.


III. Qualifications - Must live and work in the US.
A. Required Qualifications 
 

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree,
  • High School Diploma (or GED accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
  • 5 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement).

Pay: The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S is $110,000 - $125,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
