What are temporary placements?

Temporary placements, also known as temp jobs or contract work, are positions filled for a limited period, often to cover short-term needs such as employee absences, seasonal workload increases, or specific projects. These roles can range from a few days to several months and are typically arranged through staffing agencies or recruiters. Temporary placements provide flexibility for both employers and employees—employers can adjust their workforce as needed, and employees gain experience in diverse work environments. While benefits and job security may be limited, temp positions can sometimes lead to permanent employment.
