Job description

Outbound Sales Specialist (Part-Time, Temporary)
Norwood, OH
Help Schools Create Inspiring Learning Spaces — and Build Your Sales Career While You Do It
At School Outfitters, we don’t just sell furniture—we help educators design environments where students thrive. As part of our award-winning team, you’ll play a key role in connecting schools with the solutions they need to support learning, collaboration, and growth.
We’re looking for an energetic, people-oriented Outbound Sales Specialist to join us in a part-time, temporary role. If you enjoy conversations, are naturally curious, and love helping customers find the right solution, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on sales experience in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Why Join School Outfitters?
Award-winning culture known for collaboration, energy, and support
Catered lunches that bring the team together
Paid holidays (even in a temporary role)
Hands-on training and development to build your skills
A chance to be part of a mission-driven team supporting educators nationwide
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be at the front line of customer interaction—building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping drive growth.
Connect with new and existing customers through outbound calls and email outreach
Follow up on inbound leads and help guide customers to the right solutions
Identify upcoming school projects and generate quote opportunities
Ask thoughtful questions to understand customer needs and match them with our products
Partner with Account Managers to move opportunities forward
Keep organized records of customer interactions and next steps
Contribute to targeted campaigns tied to school budgets, projects, and seasonal needs
Hit daily and weekly activity goals (calls, conversations, follow-ups, and opportunities created)
Deliver a positive, professional experience in every interaction
What You Bring
We’re less focused on checking every box and more interested in your energy, curiosity, and ability to connect with people.
1+ year of experience in outbound sales calls or customer outreach (phone/email)
Strong communication and listening skills—you know how to ask the right questions
Ability to organize information quickly and stay on top of follow-ups
Comfort navigating multiple systems (Microsoft Office and CRM tools)
A self-motivated, goal-oriented mindset
Experience in education (teaching or school environments) is a plus—but not required
What to Expect
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5 hours per day (part-time)
Environment: Fast-paced, team-oriented, and supportive
Focus: Building relationships, learning sales skills, and contributing to real business impact
If you’re looking for a role where you can build sales experience, make a meaningful impact, and be part of a high-energy, collaborative team, we’d love to meet you.
Apply today and help us create spaces where students succeed.
