Job description

Position Purpose: The Property Accountant III/OS is an experienced property accountant & will work directly with our Large Scale/Onsite client base. They will have a solid understanding of CMA financial reporting and accounting concepts, research and analytical skills and serves as a resource for other team members. S/he works closely with team members, property managers & boards to ensure the quality of CMA's monthly Financial Statements.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
  • Manage an Accounting Portfolio of approximately 30-35 properties from our Large Scale/Onsite division; property mix based upon varying levels of complexity.
  • Serve as liaison between Community Managers, Management Team, and Accounting Leadership, ensuring processes are being followed, inquiries are resolved in a timely manner, or disseminating information relevant to accounting procedure changes.
  • Serves as a resource and/or contributor for other team members.
  • Researches and resolves accounting questions involving assigned portfolio properties, escalating to Accounting Manager, Controller or CFO when required.
  • May be called upon to provide on-going general accounting services training to team members and/or coordinate supplemental and specialized training, as deemed necessary.
  • Assist/communicate directly with Community Managers & Client's to resolve questions/financial related issues (may require occasional attendance at Board meetings).
  • Assist with other Accounting Issues and Special Projects, as assigned.

Education Required

  • Proficiency using Vantaca HOA Accounting Software and/or Strongroom lockbox payables system.
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent industry experience preferred.

Experience Required
  • 5-7 years of relevant full-cycle Accounting experience preferred.

Environmental Job Requirements
  • Office Setting, appropriate business casual attire required.
  • Physical demands involve processing, lifting & moving incoming & outgoing boxes (25 to 30 pounds).
  • Lengthy periods of sitting, standing, bending, and stooping are required.
  • In office required. Hybrid remote schedule may be available if approved by Supervisor, and subject to change.
