Security Technician (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion)


Location: Metro Atlanta Area

Overview

We are seeking skilled Security Systems Technicians to join our team in the Metro Atlanta area. This role focuses on the installation, support, and maintenance of access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems. Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality.


Key Responsibilities

Access Control

  • Install locking hardware (strikes, maglocks, transfer hinges)
  • Install and wire devices including card readers, REX motions, door contacts, and push-to-exit buttons
  • Run and manage cabling (banana cable or discrete wiring based on application)
  • Interpret and follow blueprints and system layouts
  • Work independently or under a lead to complete installs accurately and efficiently
  • Experience with systems such as Avigilon, Lenel, Genetec, and AXIS (on-prem or cloud-based)


Video Surveillance (CCTV)

  • Terminate and wire RJ45 connections (follow color coding standards)
  • Install cameras and associated mounts
  • Configure IP cameras and assist with network integration
  • Set up and configure NVR systems
  • Understand core camera system functionality and operation
  • Experience with platforms such as Avigilon, Genetec, and AXIS


Intrusion Systems

  • Install devices including motions, door contacts, and keypads
  • Understand basic intrusion system functionality and operation
  • Run and properly select cabling for various devices
  • Experience with systems such as Honeywell and Bosch


Qualifications

  • Proven experience with low voltage/security system installations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
  • Strong troubleshooting and installation skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow direction from leadership
  • Experience working at heights (ladders/lifts)
