2nd Shift - 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM Monday through Friday

Starting pay $22.90/hr. + $1.00 shift differential

MSA Safety in Cranberry Township, PA is now hiring for Assembler Sensor Manufacturing associates for our manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and test (including set-up), of complex combustible, electro-chemical or infrared sensors and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering. Some troubleshooting required.
  • Picking material out of the warehouse.
  • Performing visual inspections and minor repairs and rework.
  • Completing and maintaining relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

  • Ability to:
    • read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
    • understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
    • perform standard software operations including SAP.
    • regularly perform work that requires magnification.
    • concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
    • infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance.
    • infrequently stand in a stationary position.
    • use power and hand tools, and custom tooling.
    • work in a team environment and effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.
    • organize and prioritize work and operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
    • wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses, steel toe shoes, lab coat, sleeves, gloves, and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.
  • Strong manual dexterity requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness.
  • Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 months manufacturing and/or other related experience (if lacking minimum months of experience, we will train you through our temporary agency before full time employment).

Experience Preferred:

  • Past soldering experience (training provided if no experience established).
