About the Role

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Associate to support key accounting and finance initiatives during a major systems transition. This role will provide critical operational support during a NetSuite implementation, ensuring continuity across accounting workflows, reporting obligations, and manual processes that require redundancy during the transition period.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with data, and experienced in accounting workflows such as commissions, accounts payable, and compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations Support

  • Assist with manual commission calculations during the system transition period.
  • Post and process accounts payable (AP) transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy between legacy systems and NetSuite once live.

Implementation & Process Redundancy

  • Serve as a temporary resource to maintain finance continuity during the NetSuite implementation.
  • Support data validation, cleanup, and basic testing activities as needed.
  • Document processes, identify gaps, and assist in transitioning manual workflows into automated NetSuite processes.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Handle prevailing wage reporting across multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate manual submissions.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, compliance checks, and state-specific reporting requirements.

General Administrative Finance Support

  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting requests.
  • Support the Finance Manager/Director with project-based tasks requiring administrative accuracy and financial understanding.
  • Help maintain organized digital files, schedules, and reporting trackers.

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong understanding of AP, commissions, reconciliations, or similar transactional accounting workflows.
  • Comfortable with manual processes and data-driven tasks.
  • Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with NetSuite (implementation or end-user) is a major plus.
  • Exposure to prevailing wage reporting (construction, engineering, or government contracts helpful).
  • Experience during financial system migrations or ERP transitions.

Compensation
