Logistics Analyst

Job Summary

The Logistics Analyst supports the planning and execution of logistics strategies that optimize production, distribution, and inventory management processes. This role focuses on improving product flow, ensuring effective delivery timelines, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The position involves analyzing logistics data, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency across the supply chain.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and implement logistics plans impacting production, distribution, and inventory management

  • Participate in the development of logistics strategies to improve product flow and operational efficiency

  • Conduct distribution and network analysis to support logistics optimization initiatives

  • Monitor inventory levels and analyze requirements to meet delivery schedules and order fulfillment targets

  • Develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times and order fill rates

  • Maintain accurate logistics records and prepare detailed reports for management review

  • Coordinate logistics activities with internal teams and external customers

  • Provide regular activity and status updates to leadership

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business Administration or a related field and 2 years of relevant experience

  • In lieu of formal education, 10 years of progressive experience in a related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage logistics data and generate reports

  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination

  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting logistics operations within a Metrology (MET) or technical environment

  • Familiarity with supply chain optimization tools and methodologies

  • Experience conducting distribution or network studies

  • Prior experience working with government or defense-related programs

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
