Job description

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for supporting the effective execution and continuous improvement of inbound logistics operations to ensure service, cost, customer experience, and operational objectives are achieved. In this role, you will serve as a key resource for international import and export activities, working closely with internal business units, logistics providers, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage transportation performance and resolve operational challenges. You will leverage data and analytics to monitor performance, identify process improvements, and implement solutions that enhance logistics efficiency and service levels. This role offers the opportunity to influence supply chain performance through process optimization, operational analysis, and collaboration across a broad network of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for inbound import and export operations, coordinating activities with business units and third-party logistics providers.
  • Support the execution of inbound logistics operations to achieve service level, cost, and operational performance objectives.
  • Analyze logistics data and operational performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives across freight and logistics operations.
  • Plan, scope, and coordinate freight operations to support scheduled shipments and business requirements.
  • Create and deliver logistics performance reporting, including shipping results, operational metrics, and performance insights for leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with logistics providers and business partners to develop operational plans that support monthly and quarterly shipping objectives.
  • Troubleshoot shipment delays, delivery issues, and logistics exceptions, and implement recovery plans to minimize business disruption.
  • Monitor third-party logistics provider performance and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Provide high-quality customer support to internal and external stakeholders while developing supply chain solutions that address evolving business needs.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating logistics and supply chain performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root causes of service or cost issues and implement corrective actions and recovery strategies.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Travel required up to 25%.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $77,000 to $102,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
