POSITION SUMMARY:

Join us as we grow! ย Targa Resources is seeking a Commercial Optimization Analyst to support our growing Natural Gas Liquids (NGL), natural gas, and midstream commercial operations. This role provides market analysis, commercial insights, and optimization support that help maximize value across Targa's integrated gathering, processing, fractionation, transportation, export, and logistics assets.

Working closely with commercial, marketing, scheduling, trading, and business development teams, the successful candidate will analyze market fundamentals, monitor regional and global supply and demand trends, identify optimization opportunities, develop forecasting and analytical models, and provide actionable insights that support commercial decision-making and value creation across Targa's domestic and international value chains. This role will contribute to evaluating market opportunities, optimizing asset utilization, and enhancing profitability across Targa's expanding midstream and export platform.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Manage and maintain supply forecasts across multiple business units

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Analysis of product supply across the portfolio, including providing thoughtful analysis of trends

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Manage and maintain critical commercial and asset databases used across downstream commercial business units

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Support and build extensive forecast and financial models to support the current business and any future ad hoc projects

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Tracking and confirmation of new deals and assistance in ensuring correct application of complex contractual terms

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Detailed understanding of existing contract portfolio to support commercial decision making.

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Financial analysis of proposed contracts and assets

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Preparation of clear and accurate presentation materials for customers and executives

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Analysis of rejection and recovery across multiple G&P assets

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Regularly produces accurate and concise work product

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or related field or additional equivalent experience

ย ย ย ย ย ย  2 years' related experience

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong ability to manage and align data across multiple stakeholders and external parties

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to effectively present financial and commercial analysis to executive management

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Able to clearly communicate complex concepts in concise terms

ย ย ย ย ย ย  This position occasionally necessitates working before/after regular office hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

ย ย ย ย ย ย  2 years of experience in NGL or related industry

ย ย ย ย ย ย  2-5 years of experience in financial modeling

ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with RightAngle
