Job description

The ideal candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid customers in their success using our product. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face. 

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Preparing renewal and marketing reports for current and prospective clients comparing health plan benefits and costs
  • Assist with annual open enrollment meetings
  • Drafting and distributing client correspondence, communication materials, and compliance notices
  • Calculate employee contributions and contribution strategies to meet client’s budgetary requirements.
  • Collecting new client information
  • Assisting client with group applications and policy termination notices
  • Assist clients’ employees with questions and claim resolution
  • Oversee all employee enrollments, terminations, and Cal COBRA/COBRA notifications
  • Thorough documentation is required on each account with proper E&O procedures strictly followed
  • Knowledge of, and practical experience in, regulatory issues such as HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, and ACA reporting, as well as various state and federal regulations specific to health insurance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Insurance:
  • CA Life and Health license required (current or willing & able to obtain)
  • Experience with small/large group medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans a plus
  • General:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Organized and proficient with time management skills.
  • Work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
  • Independent and confident working on their own
  • Proficient in MS Office, notably Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
