Job description

Come Lead our team at Nehalem Valley Care Center (NVCC) as the full-time Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. NVCC is not-for-profit 50-bed SNF/ICF facility on the northern coast in Wheeler, Oregon. If you're looking to move to the beautiful Oregon Coast and work with a group of dedicated staff taking pride in serving seniors from our greater Coastal Community this is the place for you.
Our facility is owned by the Nehalem Bay Health District, and Managed by Dane Jensen and Erica Knepper of Canyon Wren Consulting, LLC (CWC). Canyon Wren Consulting is a boutique style consulting and management group that serves the lives of seniors in the Pacific Northwest. Each member of our team has worked in positions that began at the bedside, which is where CWC believes care starts.
We are seeking a candidate who has experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility as an Administrator, but would consider all levels of experience for just the right qualified candidate. You will have a high-level of support from the seasoned management team, and the building is poised for greatness.
Some key job description Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility's programs and activities in accordance with guidelines issued by the governing body.
  • Drive the state and federal surveys for the facility.
  • Ensure the care and services provided are person-centered and honor and support each resident's preferences, choices, values and beliefs.
  • Develop a strategic planning process to ensure viability and sustainability of facility operations.
