Job description

Administrative Officer (Community Care)

The primary functions of this position involve providing administrative support to the Chief of NVCC as warranted, participating with the Chief in strategic planning; creating and maintaining statistical data for decision making purposes; developing and monitoring cost effective programs; developing business, administrative, and clinical processes, methods and tools to systematically evaluate program activities and effectiveness which includes in-depth monitoring and analysis of processes, assisting with prepping schedules, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and drafting correspondence, and supporting/providing back up for the Service's ADPAC. Duties included but not limited to:

  • The incumbent is responsible for providing various administrative services; carrying out a variety of analysis functions related to NVCC and serving as the focal point and resource person responsible for the development, implementation, evaluation, interpretation, revision, and necessary corrective action of all applicable administrative policies, functions, activities, operations and programs for the NVCC.
  • The incumbent is a primary resource for collecting, compiling, and/or tracking projects related to NVCC, such as: consults, authorizations, payments, scheduling, VSSC, all contracts, and the preparation and resolution of in-depth research related to problems occurring within the NVCC Service.
  • Incumbent participates in meetings at various organizational levels to include within the NVCC department, at Facility level, VISN, regional and national offices of Community Care and provides feedback, follow up and summaries of meetings to Service Chief when necessary. Coordinates activities performs analytical trending and evaluative work associated with NVCC such as consults, authorizations, payments, scheduling, VSSC, Community Care contract.
  • The incumbent of this position will also administer space and equipment programs. Establishes HR/Equipment/Space Policy for the unique and/or complex Service Line.
  • The incumbent has the authority to plan for revised space assignments to investigators and to reallocate space to meet these demands.
  • The incumbent of this position manages and coordinates all administrative aspects of the Service. Responsible for developing both long and short-range policies and plans for the organization by coordinating the medical administration needs of the organization(s) for which accountable.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 07:30am - 4:00pm. Work schedule subject to change based on agency needs.
