Description

Job Title: Clerk, Warehouse

Supervisor/Manager Title: Senior Supervisor, Warehouse

Job Description Summary:

  • Working conditions are primarily in a warehouse environment with regular use of phone, computer, and material moving equipment as required.
  • Primary responsibility is a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties, as well as material support to Production.
  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.
  • Performs inventory transactions and basic production activities as required.
  • Conducts all business in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Documents activities on necessary forms and other documentation and accurately completing transactions in the MRP system.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform general warehouse processes including manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties, completing required documentation and entries into the MRP system.
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped.
  • Receive and deliver packages and product to appropriate person or department.
  • Coordinate shipment of product to authorized sterilization company.
  • Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Process material requests and production picklists in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate with carriers, customer, operations, and management.
Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma plus 2-3 years in warehousing.
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems (strong preference for QAD).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook) or similar software.
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Excellent customer service skills and good understanding of team dynamics.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment such as pallet jacks, and/or forklifts.

Skills and Abilities Required for This Job:

  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks with high attention to detail associated with document handling.
  • Is reliable, adaptable, and has a structured working method.
  • Ability to work with international parcel service providers to assure that all JenaValve shipments reach the intended destination on time and protected from damage.
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Accurate and precise in handling medical devices with regards to shelf life, temperature sensibility and traceability.
