Job description

Segra is searching for a qualified and experienced Senior CABS Billing Analyst to join us in a full-time capacity.

Location Requirement:

The work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in one of our Segra offices, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.

Role Overview:

Senior Billing Analyst - Carrier Access Billing (CABS) is responsible for the accurate generation, validation, and reconciliation of carrier access billing in accordance with industry tariffs, regulatory guidelines, and interconnect agreements. This position ensures compliance with FCC/NECA regulations and works closely with carriers, internal departments, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate intercarrier compensation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in telecom billing with specific experience in Carrier Access Billing (CABS).
  • Key Competencies: Working knowledge of telecom access tariffs, intercarrier settlements, and switched access services. Familiarity with CABS billing systems. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and usage reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret complex regulatory and contractual documentation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with internal teams and external carriers. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently on complex tasks.
