We have an immediate opening for a Mainframe Developer/ Architect with strong hands-on experience to support a long-term engagement with our client. Must collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Role: Mainframe Developer/ Architect

Location: Dallas, TX - Onsite

Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:

10+ years of overall IT experience, with significant time in telecom billing and invoicing systems.

Strong architectural experience designing large-scale, high-volume billing/invoicing platforms.

Deep hands-on mainframe expertise: COBOL, DB2, and VSAM.

Solid understanding of batch processing, JCL, and mainframe performance tuning.

Experience with telecom billing concepts such as rating, mediation, invoicing cycles, and reconciliation.

Strong data modeling skills across relational (DB2) and file-based (VSAM) structures.

Proven ability to lead architecture discussions and influence technical decisions across teams.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience integrating mainframe billing systems with downstream/enterprise applications is a plus.
