Job description

MTSI is seeking a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer to support a key joint development program. The ideal candidate has strong experience in cybersecurity engineering, secure architecture development, and hands-on technology integration within complex, mission-driven environments. This posting is for pipeline needs to support expected future growth.
Responsibilities
  • Lead cyber-focused systems engineering activities, including secure architecture development, technical planning, system integration, and lifecycle support.
  • Develop cyber-resilient system designs that protect data transport, joint fires, targeting, and C2 capabilities.
  • Support technology development efforts such as prototyping, modernization initiatives, and integration of emerging cyber technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, cross-domain requirements, and system accreditation needs.
  • Conduct cyber risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and system hardening activities aligned with operational mission needs.

Required Qualifications
  • 18+ years of experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity engineering, or advanced technology development within DoD or national security programs.
  • Strong background in cyber systems engineering, secure architectures, and technology prototyping or development.
  • Experience supporting CJADC2, ABMS, and joint fires networks.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Engineering; master's degree preferred.

Required Clearance
  • TS/SCI

Preferred Experience
  • Military cyber or defense technology experience strongly preferred.

The pay range for this position in is $150,000/year to $190,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. This posting will be renewed periodically until the position is filled.
