Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
  • Provide leadership across mining, wet plant, dry plant, and rail operations
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and workforce planning
  • Manage performance, including coaching, reviews, and corrective action
  • Develop supervisors and frontline leaders through training and mentorship
  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and a high-performance culture
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and standards
Production & Operations
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate production to meet customer demand
  • Ensure plant performance, uptime, and throughput across all sites
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action as needed
  • Partner with quality and logistics teams to meet customer requirements
Financial & Strategic Management
  • Develop and manage operating budgets
  • Control costs and optimize resource allocation
  • Track and report on production, efficiency, and cost performance
  • Support long-term planning and capital improvement initiatives
  • Analyze production data and trends to drive continuous improvement
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations
  • Lead safety initiatives, training, and regular safety meetings
  • Respond to incidents and support investigations
  • Maintain strong environmental stewardship and compliance standards
  • Stop work when conditions are unsafe
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, HSE, Mining, and HR teams
  • Communicate performance, risks, and operational updates to leadership
  • Support a positive and professional work environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial operations preferred
  • Experience in mining, aggregates, sand processing, or similar industry strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to lead multi-site operations
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Experience with continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to interpret technical and operational data
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems
  • Valid driver's license
