Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Data Integration, to lead and scale our data integration engineering function. This role owns the design, delivery, and operational management of our data integration ecosystem across Salesforce, MuleSoft, SFTP-based file management, and enterprise systems.

You will manage a team of engineers, set technical and operational standards, and take full ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of data integration—from design and development through monitoring, error handling, and continuous improvement.

Salary range: $125,975 to $173,000 plus 15% bonus
Remote hires will be required to travel to our headquarters in Ankeny, IA (company paid) on their first day for orientation, and be required to work onsite in Ankeny, IA 3-4 days per month.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers (minimum 4+ years of people management experience required)
    • Establish best practices for development, testing, deployment, and operations of enterprise data integration
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence
    • Partner closely with Product, Salesforce, ERP, Operations, and Business stakeholders
    • Own data integration built using MuleSoft and Salesforce Data integration Services
    • Design, deliver, and maintain data integration between Salesforce and downstream systems
    • Serve as a technical leader for complex data integration patterns, including API and file-based solutions
    • Ensure data integration is secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards
    • Own the entire lifecycle of SFTP-based data integration including: SFTP file transfers, Custom SFTP data integration development, Scheduling, automation, and monitoring
    • Define and manage robust SFTP error handling and recovery strategies
    • Implement operational visibility, alerting, and remediation processes for file-based data integration
    • Act as escalation point for high impact data integration failures
    • Lead data integration between Salesforce and ERP platforms (experience strongly preferred)
    • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure data consistency and reliability across systems
    • Support both real-time and batch-based data integration use cases
    • Leverage Azure DevOps (ADO) for work tracking, backlog management, CI/CD pipelines, and release coordination
    • Use ConnectWise for service management, incident tracking, and operational workflows
    • Establish SLAs, KPIs, and reports for data integration, reliability and performance
    • Drive continuous improvement through post-incident reviews and root cause analysis
Required Skills and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 4+ years of experience leading a team of engineers
    • 5-7 years hands-on experience with MuleSoft OR Salesforce data integration services
    • Proven experience managing SFTP-based data integration, including file transfers and custom implementations
    • Demonstrated ownership of data integration error management and operational support
    • Experience delivering enterprise data integration in a production environment
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Skills and Experience
    • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP (MS Dynamics 365 preferred) and EMRs (i.e., Healthie)
    • Background in healthcare, logistics, or regulated industries
    • Experience working in agile or fast-paced product development environments
    • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance considerations
