Are you a technically minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer challenges, and driving growth? Electro-Matic is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to develop and manage a high-potential territory in South Florida.
In this role, you will own the full sales cycle-from identifying opportunities to delivering innovative industrial automation solutions that help customers improve performance and productivity. If you enjoy working with engineers, solving technical challenges, and growing a territory, this is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact.
Essential Functions
  • Manage and expand existing customer relationships within your territory
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Build trusted relationships across engineering, purchasing, quality, and leadership teams
  • Travel throughout the territory to meet with current and prospective customers
  • Present product solutions through demonstrations, samples, and technical discussions
  • Prepare pricing proposals, quotes, and sales agreements
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline activity, and project tracking
  • Partner with Inside Sales and Customer Service to support customer needs
  • Resolve customer issues related to orders, deliveries, or project requirements
  • Represent Electro-Matic at trade shows and industry events
  • Stay current on products, technologies, and industry trends through ongoing training

Experience, Education and Skills
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial automation or a closely related industry
  • Experience with Siemens products strongly preferred
  • Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ability to learn and use a CRM application
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory (including occasional overnight travel)
