Job description

Position Summary:
The Recruiter II is a full-cycle recruiting position responsible for managing the recruiting process for open roles across all departments. Working under general supervision, the Recruiter II independently sources and screens candidates, builds working knowledge of a range of roles (with an emphasis on technician positions) and delivers qualified shortlists to hiring managers for final interviews. This role serves as the candidate's primary point of contact throughout the recruitment process.
Essential Functions:
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of open roles across the Company's departments, including job roles, required skills, certifications, and day-to-day responsibilities
  • Consult with hiring managers across departments to understand open roles and the profile of an ideal candidate
  • Source, review, and screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for open requisitions
  • Conduct phone interviews with candidates to assess qualifications, experience, and fit for open positions
  • Compile a shortlist of qualified candidates and present recommendations to hiring managers for final interviews
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between shortlisted candidates and hiring managers
  • Verify candidate employment eligibility and gather necessary documentation
  • Communicate job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, and compensation and benefits information to candidates
  • Coordinate reference and background checks in accordance with Company policy
  • Prepare and extend job offers under the direction of the VP General Services or hiring manager
  • Notify unsuccessful candidates of their application status in a timely, professional manner
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Handle moderately complex issues and hiring situations independently, referring only the most complex or non-standard situations to the VP General Services
  • Attend job fairs, career events, or trade school/college partnerships to build talent pipelines across departments, as assigned
  • Provide prompt, professional email and phone follow-up to candidates and hiring managers
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate and hiring information at all times
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting best practices, sourcing tools, and applicant tracking systems
  • Provide regular status updates to hiring managers on requisition pipeline and candidate activity
  • Interface with the VP General Services to align on hiring priorities and escalate complex requisitions

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with candidates and hiring managers
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage a higher volume of open requisitions across multiple departments
  • Ability to learn and retain detailed information across a range of role types, including technician job requirements
  • Basic proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or willingness to learn
  • General computer and technology proficiency
  • Discretion in handling confidential candidate and employment information
  • Customer/client orientation and professionalism when representing the Company to candidates

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 to 4 years of recruiting, human resources, or related experience

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer and telephone for the majority of the workday

Work Environment:
  • This is a remote position
  • Occasional travel to the Corporate office (located in Durham, NC) may be required (mileage and expenses for this commute are not reimbursed). Travel to job sites, job fairs, or hiring events is reimbursed in accordance with Company travel policy.
