Job description

Job Title: IT Support

Department: IT

FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: 8 am - 4 pm Monday-Friday

Reports to: Director of Technology

Compensation: $55,577 - $58,356/year

Position Overview: The IT Support staff member's main focus is the daily management of various devices and systems. They receive, address, and resolve IT queries and maintain the overall IT functions. The IT department is responsible for ensuring that all technological devices and software are reliable and continually operational to ensure that school staff have the ability to excel in their role, and students have the necessary tools to learn. The position provides day-to-day technology support across two nearby campuses. 

Essential Responsibilities, including but not limited:  

  • Organize and maintain electronic business devices including macbooks, ipads, chromebooks, and other hardware or software, as needed. 
  • Support peripheral devices such as phones, printers, projectors, speakers, etc.
  • Create, manage and maintain an IT query ticket system to receive, track and resolve incoming requests. 
  • Respond to daily support requests, prioritizing them, and communicating their status updates quickly and accurately to the appropriate staff. 
  • Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment by updating, reviewing and reconciling, regularly.
  • Manage devices and user accounts in a variety of management systems and services.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network equipment.
  • Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform regular operational support duties around arrival, dismissal, and lunch.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in technology support.
  • Knowledge of Apple and Google systems required.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and persistence in problem solving.
  • A curiosity and willingness to research and learn about new and existing technologies. 
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to effectively work under the pressure imposed by the high volume of work.
  • Knowledge and fluency in Mandarin is preferred

Terms of Employment:

Working Environment: In-school. The role is based on-site and will grow to include another campus, which will result in interaction with students, parents and staff.
