Job description

The Winnetka Public Schools is seeking Summer Technology Support for a limited 30-50 day assignment.
JOB TITLE: Summer Technology Specialist 

LOCATION: Technology Office located at The Skokie School 

CHARACTERISTICS: 30-50 Day Technology Assistant during the Summer

REPORTS TO: District Technology Team

DESCRIPTION
Learn valuable skills while on the job as a Technology Specialist. Temporarily assist the District Technology Team as they perform tasks in preparation for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Job Summary:

Duties include:

  • Cleaning, troubleshooting, maintaining and deploying, iPads, Apple Computers, projectors, printers and other devices.
  • Installing and upgrading software applications on Apple Products
  • Moving technology related equipment including computers, iPads, printers, and misc. equipment
  • Inventory hardware, software, and network equipment
  • Escalating challenges and obstacles to the correct channel
  • Other technology duties as assigned by the Technology Department

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with technology in schools preferred
  • Be fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs. from the floor to table height
  • Be detail-oriented in repetitive tasks and multitasking
  • Self motivated and can work with minimal supervision for several hours at a time
  • Have a basic understanding of computer operating systems, the internet, email, and electronic devices
  • Personable and effective communication skills when working with a team    

Working Conditions:

Beginning June, 2025 - End Date - determined by need and circumstance
Typically 6.5 hours per day (8:00 am to 3:00 pm) 

Rate of Pay -
$19.00/hour (External Candidates)
