Job description

Position Title: Summer Teacher Aide (Enrichment Programs)

Location: Owego Elementary School (Elementary Programs)

Classification: Internal Only (Current OACSD Employees)

Salary/Hourly Rate: Based on the established OACSD Enrichment Rate for Teacher Aides

Position Overview

The Owego Apalachin Central School District is seeking teacher aidesย to support our upcoming Elementary Summer Enrichment Programs. Candidates will work in various roles across the programs, assisting certified teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and vibrant summer learning environment for our elementary students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers with the implementation of enrichment activities and daily lessons.
  • Provide instructional, behavioral, and supervisory support to elementary students in various settings (classrooms, outdoor activities, transitions).
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and organized learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with summer program staff, administrators, and teachers to meet student needs.
