MRI Tech Aide - Outpatient | Fairfax, VA | Weekday Evenings
Fairfax Radiology Centers - the largest radiology practice in Northern Virginia - is looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused MRI Tech Aide to join our busy MRI Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
In this vital support role, you'll assist MRI Technologists with non-clinical tasks, help clarify physician orders, and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Your professionalism, organization, and care will make all the difference in keeping our center running seamlessly - and in making patients feel at ease.

About the Role
โ€ข Location: MRI Center - Fairfax, Virginia
โ€ข Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
โ€ข No weekends, holidays, or call
โ€ข Free on-site parking
What You'll Do
โ€ข Provide outstanding service to patients and families, explaining MRI procedures clearly and compassionately
โ€ข Set up the MRI suite for exams and assist patients with safe transfers to and from the imaging table
โ€ข Start IV access prior to procedures
โ€ข Ensure patient comfort, modesty, and safety throughout the process
โ€ข Communicate with physician offices to clarify and complete MRI orders
โ€ข Confirm critical exam details (body part, laterality, contrast use) and request order modifications when appropriate
What You'll Bring
  • 1+ years of experience in a medical or radiology office (preferred)
  • Ability to start IVs (highly preferred)
  • Experience in one of the following roles:
    • Medical Assistant
    • MRI/CT Tech Aide
    • ED Tech
    • EMT or Paramedic
    • Nursing Student (after first clinical)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at hire)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Strong communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor
