Job description

Product Development Specialist Centrally located within the Valley View, OH area with easy access to the office via I-480 and I 77. DCA Construction Products, a sister Company of Four Seasons Manufacturing and a business entity within Diskin Enterprises, is seeking a Product Development Specialist. The Product Development Specialist is responsible for product development and the marketing of concrete construction products, and will work closely with sales teams, customers, and end-users.

The position will be responsible for the expansion and market recognition improvement of the Durajointยฎ and Precoยฎ brands and develop new products line extensions and new product categories. Responsibilities include keeping the product development team on task, finding products to introduce to market and determining the ROI on product launches. This position will report directly to the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.

โ€ข Previous experience with product development resulting in successful product launches producing profitable revenue gains is a must. โ€ข Manage and grow existing product lines: create plans to increase sales of existing categories and identify new product opportunities. โ€ข Lead the cross functional team throughout the entire lifecycle of product development.

This includes the ability to facilitate and coordinate a diverse group of teams including sales, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, finance, and quality teams. โ€ข Actively communicate status of projects to all project stakeholders, including cross functional teams and senior management. โ€ข Develop all marketing materials including packaging, presentations, merchandising, and other collateral to commercially launch new products.

โ€ข Conduct comprehensive product & pricing analysis which drives product positioning in the marketplace relative to competition and margin targets. โ€ข Work closely with the sales team to deliver projects that drive new product development. โ€ข Prepare financial analysis for product portfolio evaluation and decision making.

โ€ข Participate in forecasting needed financial resources for development of products and all related marketing initiatives. โ€ข Perform competitive tracking analysis and market data collection. โ€ข Create and execute end-user-based research to build a clear understanding of all relevant product applications, becoming the product expert for all categories.

โ€ข Support the full product lifecycle from concept to end of life. Qualifications โ€ข Bachelor's degree in business or marketing. Previous Marketing experience and product development is essential.

โ€ข Construction industry sales and marketing experience preferred. โ€ข Ability to multi-task and be able to lead and interact with cross functional teams. โ€ข Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

โ€ข Excellent strategic planner and strategic thinker. โ€ข Demonstrate a consistent, dependable, and positive work ethic. โ€ข Strong project management skills, solid analytical skills, and attention to detail.

โ€ข High proficiency with Power Point, Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP, and BW. โ€ข Ability to travel for business including meeting customers, exhibiting at trade shows, etc
