Job Duties:
This position performs complex administrative and supervisory work for substance use treatment programs. It oversees staff who work directly with inmates and ensures the delivery of program services, including group sessions, educational classes, and other interventions for individuals assigned to substance use programs.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You graduated from an accredited senior high school or equivalent (GED).
You have criminal justice experience
You have supervisory experience
You are good at building rapport and maintaining consistent, professional communication.
You work well in a team environment
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
You are familiar with rehabilitation programming
You are comfortable facilitating structured educational groups and guiding discussions on substance use, anger management, and recovery.
You have strong documentation skills and can accurately track progress, prepare reports, and maintain organized records.
You have a current valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services, or current valid certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals, or a current qualifying credential to conduct counseling in a treatment environment.
