Essential FunctionsThis position is to coordinate the documentation of training and customer service aspects of Coastal Bend College's partnership with TDCJ. In addition, the Continuing Education Administrative Assistant- TDCJ will assist with supporting TDCJ employees through CBC processes. The Continuing Education Administrative Assistant - TDCJ will also ensure compliance with student documents and record retention.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Coordinate TDCJ visits to provide scantrons and receive scantrons for enrollment
- Establish a sense of rapport with TDCJ administrators and staff
- Create an environment known for great customer service
- Implement processes and procedures related to program creation and student enrollment.
- Understand the Workforce Education Course Manual (WECM)
- Create systems to ensure compliance with documentation.
- Research local and state regulations related to the programs that we are offering.
- Monitor course paperwork to ensure that grades are entered, and documents are filed correctly.
Assist in providing training to new TDCJ instructors.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
GED, High School Diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TDCJ.

This position is to work within the continuing education department to create and maintain training opportunities for TDCJ employees.

Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required between TDCJ training locations.
