Job description

Lookout Tavern, a modern social tavern in North Phoenix, is seeking a friendly and professional Host to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, the ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced environment, and have a positive and upbeat attitude. As a Host, you will be responsible for greeting customers, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring that the front of house runs smoothly. In addition a major part of your daily tasks are assisting with order take-outs and 3rd party delivery management.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Manage delivery and to-go orders through our 3rd party delivery partners
  • Manage reservations and maintain the waitlist accurately.
  • Monitor the flow of traffic in the restaurant to ensure timely seating of guests.
  • Assist servers with table assignments and distributing menus.
  • Provide guests with information about menu offerings and daily specials.
  • Ensure that the host stand and surrounding areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Address customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a host or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
