Senior Associate, Talent Brand Strategist - Talent Marketing
The Talent Marketing team helps inform and educate prospective talent, partners and our associates about life at Capital One, including our company culture, values and commitments to changing banking and the communities around us, for good.
As a Talent Brand Strategist, you will support the evolution of our candidate experience by helping to translate our employee value proposition into a powerful narrative that positions Capital One as a premier global destination for top talent. You will support the build and execution of brand strategies to help attract prospective candidates across multiple touch points. Assist in designing and activating data-driven brand strategies that spark curiosity and build emotional connections with prospective candidates across multiple touchpoints. In this role you will:
  • Assist in drafting creative briefs by gathering necessary data, audience insights, and intake details to ensure the creative team has what they need to start.
  • Facilitate the creative review process by organizing feedback, scheduling syncs between partners, and ensuring the next steps are clearly documented.
  • Review draft content against our Brand Guidelines and EVP checklists to ensure consistency before work moves to final approval.
  • Support the "source of truth" by verifying facts, gathering employee testimonials, and ensuring all talent captures (stills/video) are organized and accessible.
  • Monitor the talent brand landscape to identify emerging social trends, competitor tactics, and industry benchmarks, providing the team with actionable insights to keep our content competitive.
  • Support day-to-day team operations by triaging incoming requests, gathering project requirements, and facilitating the smooth flow of information between internal stakeholders and creative partners.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in content and creative development

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience with developing content and communications for consumer OR candidate audiences across multiple touchpoints
  • Experience working closely with agencies or internal creative teams
  • Experience working for a large, highly matrixed or Fortune 500 company
  • Experience working on an employer brand, recruitment marketing, or talent acquisition team
  • Project management experience, ability to manage details without losing sight of the broader picture
  • Understanding of how to connect research and marketing data to influence deliverables (messaging, creative, content development)
  • Passion for marketing and branding and keeping up with the latest in the media and digital branding space
  • Ability to pivot quickly between tasks and adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
