Job description

Veterinary Technician Trainer

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician Trainer for the Philadelphia Market.

Pay: $31.05 - $44.19/Hr

As a Veterinary Technician Trainer:

  • You maintain proficiency in the appropriate department and level of Veterinary Technician competencies and are scheduled as an active Veterinary Technician.
  • You create and/or utilize provided materials to facilitate on-site staff training and continuing education for all Veterinary Assistants and Veterinary Technicians within the assigned hospitals within the market(s), spending on-site time divided between the locations.
  • You implement new, company-wide training programs as needed.
  • You elevate the level of patient care through education in the hospitals within the assigned market(s).
  • You foster effective working relationships between technicians/assistants and other hospital staff.
  • You document the status of staff training and update applicable management as required through written reports and emails and retain clear documentation on what employees accomplish and follow through on all training programs.
  • You partner with the Regional Nursing Partner, Director of Medical Quality, and local medical leadership to implement BluePearl's medical quality guidelines and standards into hospital standard operations procedures (SOP), training curriculum, and hospital culture.
  • You collaborate and support veterinary technician supervisors and practice managers in training associates relative to the needs of each hospital.
  • Organize and conduct wet labs for advanced skill training as well as monthly virtual or in-person trainings.
