JOB SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the day to day functions of the recruiting department for THE Redwood Family Care Netowrk including but not limited to recruiting/sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks, posting jobs, using social media to recruit, and makes offers.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist ensure that all applicants have successfully completed the pre-employment on-boarding process; resulting in the issuance of an employee EID (employee id number). Also responsible for ensuring that internal transfers complete the on-boarding requirements for successfully transferring to a new position and/or location.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist tracks all on-boarding documents including DOJ and DMV pulls, copies of driver's licenses, car registration and TB tests. Annual updates are to be recorded and followed through on.
Knowledge:
  • Principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, recruitment modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. Laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
  • Human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Program development to attract, and retain employees.

Essential Functions:
  • Handles incoming calls relating to the on-boarding process
  • Initiates and makes outbound calls to applicants relating to on-boarding process and/or documents received
  • Process and quality check employment eligibility verification through Form I-9 and/or E-verify and file accordingly
  • Verify applicant successfully completed the pre-employment drug screen; follows up with applicant as needed
  • Verify applicant successfully completed the pre-employment background check; follows up with applicant as needed
  • Process completed applicant(s) within system requirements
  • Process and verify applicant successfully is associated through vendor agencies
  • Process non-completed/disqualified applicant(s) within system requirements
  • Follow up with applicant(s) to complete on-boarding process
  • Process and quality check received employment eligibility documents and required identification forms
  • Works either alone or with a recruitment partner to identify a diverse talent pool for existing and future positions (open, and anticipated) to develop and execute the search strategy, including creating target list of competitor companies, target titles, names of individuals in similar positions and anticipated time frame of the search
  • Identify, interview and deliver internal and external candidates to the Professional Recruiting Team
  • On a daily basis, tracks open positions, identifies potential candidates, screen resumes, conduct phone screen interviews, coordinate and communicate with hiring managers.
  • Prepare a candidate brief for qualified candidates to present to recruiter for further review
  • Create an external brand with the aligned talent pools for the area supported.
  • Create and manage job postings on our various job sites (i.e. Craig's List, Indeed, Universities, LinkedIn, Monster, etc.)
  • Capture and report on key metrics that show results, trends and opportunities in key talent markets and supported business.
  • Ensure all data is captured, updated and reported properly.
  • Utilize creative sourcing tools and resources that improve candidate relationship development.
  • Follows-up throughout the entire interviewing process for new candidates while communicating with hiring managers and hiring team.
  • Set up personnel file, scan and drop accordingly to file.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Supporting hiring managers with employee on-boarding including ordering new equipment, setting up accounts, and scheduling NHO.
  • Support hiring managers with incoming candidate screening as needed.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in the human resources field and recruiting/sourcing in home care experience preferred but not required
  • Minimum Education: Highschool diploma
  • This position will require a valid California ID or Driver's License
  • Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to background check, physical etc.
