Nuclear Medicine Technologist - R.T.(R)(N)ARRT
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our partner, a leading medical center in Burbank, CA. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional who is passionate about diagnostic imaging and committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Position Overview
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be a vital member of the diagnostic imaging team. You will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and operating sophisticated imaging equipment to produce detailed images that assist physicians in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. This role requires technical expertise, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Operate a variety of nuclear medicine imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Monitor patient conditions throughout the procedure and provide clear and accurate documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Licenses and Certifications:
    • A national certification is required upon hire. You must hold one of the following:
      • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR
      • National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • A California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification is required upon hire.
    • A National Provider BLS from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
