Job description

Mammography Technologist - RT (R)

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Mammography Technologist - RT (R) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital - ACC Breast Center.

Position Details:

  • Day Shift Hours: Mon – Fri at rotating shifts between 7am & 4:30pm with two Saturdays a year
  • Location: Rotates between Siteman Cancer Center in the GCW Building & Center for Advanced Medicine Building with the option to also rotate to our South County, Highlands Screening Center, or the Mammography Van
  • Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, with the ability to learn additional responsibilities of Localizations, and stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies.
  • RT (M) Certification – preferred but not required
  • Willing to Train for Mammography (M)!!!

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency
  • R.T. (R) registry

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.

Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
