Job description

Syndicate Sales Assistant

The Syndicate Sales Assistant supports the ABS, Investment Grade and High Yield Syndicate Desks in managing all aspects of new issue trading activity, including trade booking, settlement coordination, and regulatory reporting. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of Syndicate New Issue and U.S. Treasury hedge trades through Bloomberg's trading platform. The position serves as a key liaison between trading, sales, operations, and compliance to facilitate efficient deal execution and settlement. Additional responsibilities include reconciling daily and monthly P&L, maintaining position and deal reports, and managing internal documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Responsible for managing the booking of all Syndicate New Issue trading activity and related UST hedging tickets using Bloomberg's trading book platform
  • Liaise and coordinate with syndicate operational personnel for all new issue set-up and settlement
  • Interact with sales professionals to ensure accurate and timely booking of new issue tickets
  • Responsible for monitoring and resolving all trades settlement issues
  • Manage new issue deal set-up process on TSI Syndicate's platform
  • Work closely with the desk to coordinate the final settlement new issue deal process and CUSIP filings
  • Responsible for coordinating all deal regulatory reporting requirements
  • Reconcile Daily & Monthly P&L with desk and provide EOD communication with various internal groups
  • Reconcile positions and appropriate reporting as required
  • Maintain and file internal approval documents
  • Maintain spreadsheets including deal and order trackers

  • BA/BS degree
  • Analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Basic understanding of bond markets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg would be beneficial

Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of related work experience since graduation from an undergraduate program

The base salary for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000.
