Base $85-$100K plus commissions, bonuses, auto allowance, cell phone allowance, company credit card.

Midwest Regional Sales Representative

Position Summary 

A leading manufacturer of high-quality steel pressure vessels serving the energy (LPG) and agricultural markets is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative based in the Midwest region (Ohio/Michigan preferred). This role is responsible for driving business growth throughout the assigned territory by developing strong customer relationships and selling products and services directly to propane marketers, distributors, and related industry customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the company in all customer-facing sales and relationship management activities including quoting, order entry, and account management
  • Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities for new business development and sales growth
  • Identify customer needs and provide value-added solutions to key decision makers and operational teams
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers within the assigned territory
  • Monitor market trends and conditions to support strategic, data-driven sales decisions and market share growth
  • Participate in customer visits, trade shows, industry meetings, and networking events to promote products and services
  • Generate leads, prospect new accounts, schedule virtual and in-person meetings, and manage the full sales cycle
  • Assist customers with purchasing activities, inventory planning, forecasting, market analysis, and lead time management
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, operations, and logistics teams to communicate order status updates and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Track customer purchasing trends and support monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Present weekly updates regarding sales activity, bookings, backlog, billings, and customer engagement
  • Develop action plans and countermeasures to address gaps in sales performance
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and competitive market awareness
  • Manage and maintain sales pipeline activity through CRM and sales management systems
  • Support other regional sales representatives as needed
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives that support company growth and operational success


Qualifications

Strong negotiation, selling, and closing skills

High-impact outside sales experience required

Experience within the pressure vessel and/or LPG industry preferred

Proven success in industrial, manufacturing, energy, agricultural, or related B2B sales environments preferred

Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-focused mindset

Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently

Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment

Experience using CRM platforms, sales management software, and pipeline tracking tools

Professional demeanor with the ability to balance persistence and professionalism


Travel Requirements

Travel throughout the assigned Midwest territory to develop and maintain customer relationships

Attend industry trade shows, meetings, and customer events as required

Ability to travel frequently to customer locations throughout the region

Estimated travel requirement: 25%50%, with increased travel during peak industry seasons
