Reports to: Director of Recreation QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have prior experience working with children
  • Must be able to withstand long hours outside
  • Must have the ability to be active with children
  • Must have strong supervisory skills
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work well with large groups of adults and/or children
  • Must maintain a positive attitude at all times
  • Must work well in a diverse community
  • Must pass background check
  • Must comply with fingerprinting
  • Must be over 18 years of age
  • Supervisor experience strongly preferred

JOB DUTIES are (but not limited to):
  • Supervise staff of 4-8 people, working with children in a park setting, interacting with parents and community on a daily basis.
  • Work with Recreation Director and Coordinator in coordinating and scheduling daily activities for summer playground program.
  • Chaperone field trips
  • Must be able to work out of the normal time frame of the program, if needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Recreation Department and playground site.

Working Length: Seasonal Position May - August
Salary: $15.00 per hour
