The following position is available:
SECRETARY
Montague Elementary
Deadline Date: June 10, 2026 or until filled
Rate of Pay: According to Contract
Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year
Qualifications:
1. High School diploma required. College background preferred.
2. Must have excellent Windows/ MS Office and Google skills (Word, Excel), as well as other office computer software.
3. Strong organizational and communication skills.
4. Experience with general office duties including filing, keyboarding, data entry and record keeping preferred.
5. Experience in accounting and payroll reporting helpful.
6. Ability to maintain a professional rapport with students, staff, parents, administrators and community.
7. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Mt. Morris Board of Education and Administration may find appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Duties:
  1. Perform child accounting duties including preparation and maintenance of student records and reports.
  2. Process supply requisitions and maintain accurate inventory of supplies.
  3. Maintain record of department accounts.
  4. Prepare Department Payroll.
  5. Assist with student information and reports as needed.
  6. Must demonstrate professional behavior and respect for confidentiality in the work place.
  7. All other duties as assigned.
