Position Summary
WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION FROM ALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF WORK STUDY AWARD
Academic Technologies is seeking responsible, self-motivated students that demonstrate leadership, aptitude, initiative, and assertiveness to provide assistance and training on a wide variety of technology to students, faculty, and staff in classrooms across campus. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and an interest in technology support, troubleshooting/problem solving, customer service, and teaching. This position provides support for walk in requests, over the phone, and within the ticketing system.
Must possess the ability to work independently, organize time efficiently, and to communicate professionally with faculty, staff, and students. Applicants should be able to take the initiative to solve problems on their own as well as request help as needed. Applicants may be asked to participate in projects, which may include technology testing, maintenance, or deployment of new computer environments.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Providestechnical support and training for AV technology in classrooms.
Routinemaintenance and testing of classroom technology.
Provideimmediate response to requests from both walk in and phone calls.
Troubleshootingsoftware and hardware issues including resolving and triaging issues in aticketing system.
Proficient inbasic clerical skills and willing to use work time to learn and expand one'sknowledge.
Perform inventorying,repairs, installations, and training, during intersession.
Perform variousadministrative tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters.
Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in customer service.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting.
Demonstrated experience in collaborative problemsolving.
