For 50+ years, UH Parma Medical Center has provided high-quality health care to the residents of Parma and surrounding communities and now offers a Level 3 trauma center. This 332-bed full-service community hospital employs 2,000 Northeast Ohio residents, including more than 500 physicians trained in more than 30 specialties.
Description 
The Nursing Assistant II (NA II) is an entry-level position specifically designed for current nursing students aiming to enrich their preparation for a nursing career. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse, you will acquire valuable hands-on experience by providing safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status.  The role is designed to build upon the experience gained in the classroom and during clinical rotations. 
Responsibilities include: 
  • Direct patient care delivery, including, but not limited to: ADLs/hygiene, Vital signs, I&O, Bladder scanning, EKG, Glucometer & other point of care testing (where applicable) and Restraints 
  • Communication and documentation of interventions and observations  
  • Participation in quality improvement process   
  • Involved in learning and self-improvement   
  • Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers

Qualifications - External

Education Requirements 
  • Enrollment in a Diploma RN, Associate or bachelor’s degree of Nursing from an accredited program  
  • Successful completion of a Registered Nursing Fundamentals course required 
  • Most up-to-date transcripts should be uploaded with application - help limit f/u post-offer & clarify qualification when screening 
Note: Education verification will be required upon receiving a job offer. 
 Preferred Qualifications 
  • Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
