  • Maintain the Manufacturing log.
  • Check food safety and quality assurance records.
  • Support daily monitoring of food preparation, storage, and production areas.
  • Verify that sanitation and hygiene procedures are followed.
  • Participate in internal audits and food safety inspections.
  • Confidence in training students.
  • Support employee food safety training activities as needed.
  • Perform other quality assurance and food safety duties as assigned.

Job Profile
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Works in Ohio University culinary services, providing customer service, preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for students and staff. Duties may include serving/preparing/stocking food, dining room and dishroom cleaning, inventory, cashiering, and hostessing.
Level Summary
Performs basic tasks and assists with administrative or operational duties under supervision. Roles are entry-level and aimed at providing exposure to workplace environments.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Limited supervisory responsibilities. May supervise other student workers.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
No budgetary responsibility.
Problem Solving:
Addresses routine, well-defined problems under supervision.
Independence of Action:
Works under close supervision.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicates primarily with supervisor and peers. Collaborates with team members to accomplish tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled for classes at Ohio University, Hocking College, another post-secondary education institution, or a secondary school during the current semester, immediate previous semester, or immediate upcoming semester. Able to follow instructions and complete tasks within deadlines. Basic knowledge of office software and communication tools. Departments may have specific minimum requirements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in culinary.

Working Condition/Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
