SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Strategic Account Executive (SAE) plays an important role in Streck's mission to make the world safer, healthier and more productive. Streck provides quality controls and sample stabilization products that give customers confidence in the validity of their results. The Strategic Account Executive has the unique opportunity to accelerate commercial performance in their business segment by building deep, trust-based customer partnerships and expanding adoption of Streck's technologies across new assays, departments, and segments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
1.Meet, and strive to exceed, the assigned sales quota through direct sales of all Streck products and services. Quota is set each December for the following calendar year.
2.Develop and execute strategic account plans across high value accounts.-value accounts.
3.Expand adoption across new assays, departments, and application areas.
4.Lead technical commercial engagements with scientific and operational teams.-commercial engagements with scientific and operational teams.
5.Collaborate with Product Management to deliver VOC and shape the roadmap.
6.Guide product evaluations and adoption pathways.
7.Maintain forecast integrity and pipeline accuracy.
8.Develop and execute a territory sales plan to drive increased sales for new and existing accounts in the territory.
9.Become expert in the products and services offered by the company to confidently promote and sell them to all stakeholders at accounts. Understand and effectively communicate the technical differentiators and value propositions to achieve a high level of success winning business and solving for customer needs and desired outcomes.
10.Maintain a strong discipline keeping CRM and forecasts updated to accurately reflect the potential in the territory and the progress of opportunities through the sales funnel.
11.Be an indispensable partner to customers such that Streck is the first partner of choice for their simulation needs.
12.Utilize Streck's 80/20 methodology to prioritize activities and to ensure we overserve our most important customers.
13.Use technology (Power BI, CRM, AI, Zoominfo, etc.) to research customers, customer needs and opportunities to better understand how we can serve our customers. Conduct regular research on customers to ensure we have the insights to be ahead of the competition on delivering value.
14.Sell on value, not price.
15.Effectively prioritize time and travel expenses keeping a balance with being in front of customers frequently but not wasting resources on low value or low probability opportunities.
16.Attend trade shows, conferences, customer events, and organize regional sales events to promote Streck's visibility and generate leads and sales.
17.Comply with sales policies, pricing guidelines, and best practices for Streck's offering.
18.Maintain the highest standards of integrity and respect for co-workers, customers, and prospects.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข A bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
6+ years of business-to-business sales within scientific, technical, or highly specialized product markets.
โ€ข Proven ability to grow and expand relationships within complex, multi-layered customer organizations.
โ€ข Strong scientific and technical fluency with the ability to clearly communicate value to diverse stakeholders.
โ€ข Background working in emerging or rapidly evolving market segments preferred.
โ€ข Demonstrated proficiency in navigating sophisticated customer environments and driving adoption of advanced solutions.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
โ€ข Strong Microsoft 365 skills; experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and exposure to Power BI.
โ€ข Uses AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Clay.ai, etc. to conduct customer and market research.
โ€ข Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, immunology laboratory areas and general clinical laboratory operations and procedures.
โ€ข Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external customers in verbal and written format or via formal presentations.
โ€ข Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problem situations with internal and external customers in a prompt, courteous and organized manner.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL DEMANDS:
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work). Travel demands for this position are estimated up to >40%. If travel is required, this travel may include customer visits, events/trade shows, and completion of presentations primarily throughout Domestic US or International regions. Employees must comply with all travel recommendations regarding "safe travel" according to company policies and guidelines, and all federal, state, local, and international orders.
**PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
Medium work exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. This also includes standing for up to two and a half hours consecutively, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, stooping, fingering, and grasping. Expressing and receiving detailed information through written and oral communication. Also has an ability to make sound, appropriate, and prompt decisions within the guidelines of the role.
