Waypoint's client is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Contracts Specialist - Senior.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a business advisor with regard to acquisition strategy, contract types, market research, contracting methods and sole source and competitive procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Support Pre-Award function including but not limited to:
    • Preparing contract-related documents (e.g., Acquisition Research Center (ARC) postings, Acquisition Plans, Contract Review Panel (or equivalent) briefings and other documentation required for contract award and administration);
    • Review Requests for Contract Action Packages (RCAPs) for adequacy, consistency, and compliance with administrative, regulatory, and procedural requirements
    • Preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs)/solicitations;
    • Supporting proposal evaluations;
    • Performing Cost/Price analysis;
    • Communicating with Industry;
    • Developing negotiating positions; and
    • Obtaining required reviews and approvals
  • Support Post-Award functions including but not limited to:
    • Administering contracts;
    • Executing Contracts;
    • Managing contract file and database systems;
    • Supporting compliance reviews;
    • Identifying and resolving contract performance problems/issues;
    • Processing, tracking and reviewing invoices;
    • Preparing and disseminating contract modifications;
    • Compiling and reporting contract status to management;
    • Preparing contract documentation to support briefings and meetings; and
    • Preparing contracts for settlement

Requirements:
  • Must have significant NRO contracting experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Government customer service skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Desired)
  • Desired Experience in Functional Discipline (Contracting Specialist):6 Years
Desired:
  • DAWIA/FAC-C contracting level 2 or higher
  • CFCM/CCCM/CPCM
