    • Craft content across formats—including landing pages, print pieces, emails, and digital ads—tailored to segmented audiences.
    • Translate complex financial concepts into clear, persuasive, and actionable marketing messages that resonate with consumers.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, using insights to refine strategies, increase conversions, and support continuous improvement.
    • Stay current on industry trends and consumer behavior in the retirement and financial planning space to maintain competitive messaging and positioning.
    • Contribute to the growth of the business through strategic storytelling and content that highlights the value of our products and services.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of related content marketing experience, preferably with a focus on DTC campaigns and financial products.
  • Proven experience developing content that drives conversion in email, direct mail, and other marketing channels.
  • Proficient in A/B testing strategies and analyzing results to optimize content effectiveness.
  • Strong storyteller who can simplify complex topics into engaging, reader-friendly content.
  • Experience managing full-scale, integrated marketing campaigns with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Strong editorial, proofreading, project management, and communication skills, with demonstrated AP Style experience.
  • Ability to translate analytics into meaningful content strategies.
  • Nimble, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the retirement planning space or financial services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Principal Financial Group’s products and customer journey is a plus.
