The Marketing Strategist is responsible for partnering directly with business units to identify growth opportunities, define marketing strategies, and translate business objectives into actionable marketing plans. This role leverages market research, customer insights, performance data, and industry trends to develop recommendations that drive member and product growth.
Acting as the strategic bridge between business partners and Marketing Operations, this position leads discovery, planning, and brief development to ensure marketing investments are aligned to enterprise priorities and growth objectives. The role is accountable for shaping clear, insight-driven marketing strategies and translating them into well-defined campaign briefs and requirements for execution teams.
This position collaborates closely with Business Units, Marketing Operations, Analytics, Research, and Digital teams to ensure recommendations are grounded in data and customer understanding while balancing business impact, feasibility, and resource considerations. The role identifies optimization opportunities, and continuously refines marketing approaches based on performance insights and evolving market conditions.
Success in this role requires strong consultative partnership skills, strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and the ability to connect business goals to integrated marketing solutions that deliver measurable growth outcomes.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am -4:00pm. This position will be a hybrid model both in person and remote with minimum of onsite expectation of 40% or as needed.
In this position, you will
  • Marketing Strategy and Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic marketing partner under leadership guidance, for assigned business areas. Build strong relationships with business partners to understand growth objectives, market opportunities, customer needs, and business priorities, translating them into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Strategic Planning and Recommendation Development: Develop insight-driven marketing strategies, annual plans, and campaign recommendations that support business growth goals. Evaluate opportunities, assess potential impact, and prioritize recommendations based on customer, business, and market considerations.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Leverage customer data, market research, competitive intelligence, and performance insights to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Translate findings into practical recommendations that improve acquisition, engagement, retention, and overall marketing effectiveness.
  • Brief Development & Strategic Translation: Lead strategic discovery and planning efforts to define marketing objectives, target audiences, value propositions, messaging frameworks, channel strategies, and success metrics. Translate business needs into comprehensive marketing briefs and requirements that enable effective prioritization and execution by Marketing Operations and delivery teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing Operations, Analytics, Digital, Creative, Product, and Business Unit teams to align marketing strategies with enterprise priorities and execution capabilities. Ensure strategic intent is clearly communicated throughout the delivery process.
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Monitor campaign and program performance against objectives. Analyze results, identify opportunities and risks, develop strategic recommendations and present actionable insights to business partners and marketing leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.
