Northrop Grumman is seeking a Strategy Manager 1 to join our Defense Systems Sector Strategy team. The qualified applicant will become an integral part of a team which provides corporate development, strategic planning and portfolio management expertise to our Sector and Division leadership teams. This positionwill be located in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for leading the annual strategic planning efforts
  • Conduct market assessments to include analysis of customer budgets, buying behaviors and trends to identify potential market growth opportunities
  • Perform competitive analysis which will include identifying key trends, recent developments, competitive behaviors and financial analysis
  • Financial modeling and analytics support for business development pipeline reviews, business management annual operating plan analysis, and investment planning (organic and inorganic)
  • Support the inorganic growth strategy including M&A evaluations and execution

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical or business discipline and 5 or more years of combined experience with defense/aerospace business and/or government services or 3 years of experience with Master's degree in Technical or Business-related discipline
  • Prior experience in strategic planning, corporate development, investment banking or management consulting
  • Experience conducting strategic planning and financial analysis
  • Ability to effectively interface at executive levels
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance up to Top Secret
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $121,000.00 - $181,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
